In honor of Charleston's upcoming Pride Week I wanted to share a project in celebration!
I was inspired to make this card while attending Tim Holtz's Creative Chemistry 103 class online this week. I melded a few of the techniques seen in class to put my own spin on this creation.
The stamp set used for the background is Patriotic Fragments from Technique Junkies. If you haven't seen Pat's fantastic line of stamps, be sure to check them out here.
The techniques used were :
Distress DIY Ombré Technique
and a spin on the Distress Washed Watercolor Technique both of which you can learn at Online Card Classes- Creative Chemistry 103.
In order to stamp the whole background- I used the various stamps from the Red, White and Blue set and set them up on my Misti Stamping tool in the array that I wanted-and then of course inked them with my DIY Inkpad (Rainbow).
I used weathered wood for the "wash" technique afterward which I think gave the project some great texture!
I used Tim Holtz Alphas to spell "PRIDE" and used a bit of distress paint on each to make them stand out.
Thanks for joining me today and Happy Pride!!
Fabulous card, Pam. I haven't seen this Distress pad before. It works so well with your stamps.
