Technique Junkies Showcase Day 4

Good morning y'all! Thanks for joining me for the last day of the Technique Junkies weekend showcase.
Today I am featuring two projecting focusing on the sentiment stamp Dance in the Rain.

For the card on the left above, the background was created using clouds and rain stencils. Then the background stamp Fresh Chevron was stamped through the cloud stencil to give some texture.

The second card background was created using a technique I just learned from Jennifer McGuire's Blog. Check it out here- it's a great technique for all the Texture background stamps from TJ and provides endless possibilities. For this card the background stamp is one of my favorites Star Power

The silhouette stamp Rain Dance pairs perfectly with this sentiment!

Thanks for joining me this weekend for the TJ showcase- stay tuned here for more inspiration!

Technique Junkies Showcase Day 3

Happy Saturday! I am back today to celebrate all things Technique Junkies! Day 3 of the showcase features one of the Summer (June 2016) releases : Keep Sailing

This sentiment is just perfect for an uplifting/supportive card to send to a friend. And the tiny sailboat is just adorable! I stamped with Hero Arts Navy Shadow Ink to give the look of a night sky, then added a bit of lighter blue ink to the bottom for the water. The tiny stars were highlighted with silver Wink of Stella and of course the moon with gold Wink of Stella.

The background is a simple distress ink watercolor stencil mono print.

Thanks for doing me again today! Enjoy your weekend and smooth sailing!
Embrace imperfection,
Pam

Technique Junkies Weekend Showcase Day 2

Good morning y'all! Thanks for stopping by today for the second day of the Technique Junkies stamps  feature weekend. Today I have a great project using the new Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and one of my favorite stamp sets Botanical Bee.

The tag bag ground was created using some Tim Holtz thinlit dies and colored with Distress Crayons- you can see this technique on Tim's blog, featured as one of the 12 tags of 2016-March.

The bee was stamped with versafine black ink, covered with clear embossing powder, then colored also with Distress Crayons.  I just love this sentiment that goes comes with this set- by the late great Muhammed Ali!

To finish off the card I covered some manila cardstock with Tim Holtz tissue wrap and grunged it up a bit!

Be sure to stop by the Technique Junkies website to see more of these great stamps-the possibilities are endless.
See you tomorrow!
Embrace Imperfection.

Technique Junkies Weekend Showcase

Happy Thursday Junkies from sunny and HOT South Carolina.  I wanted to share a fun and vibrant project I created using two fantastic Technique Junkies stamps that just seem like they were made to go together- Life is a Canvas and Wasted.

The Distress Paint resist technique was used for both cards-stamped with a rainbow assortment of Distress Paint colors.  For the first card, I accented each color with the coordinating Distress ink. For the second, I let the white cardstock shine through!

The sentiment was stamped with Versafine black ink over top and covered with clear embossing power to make it pop!

Thanks for joining me today and be sure to check the TJ Junkies Design team blog as well as back here  for more fun projects featuring these fantastic stamps! Through this weekend -today through Sunday- I will be featuring a different TJ stamp each day using a different technique! Be sure to check them out!
