Happy Mother's Day everyone!! This week's challenge over at 613 Avenue Create is Let's Celebrate! I have had a jar full of paper straws in my studio for a while now and decided it was time to incorporate them into a project. So as a member of the Design team I came up with this colorful yet simple card.
The background was made using a stencil mono print with Distress ink and water in a colorful rainbow array. I chose matching straws and cut them down, flattened them and of course ran them through my Xyron Creative Station (with the 5" permanent adhesive loaded). I hand drew little flames, cut them out, and colored with Copics. To adhere them I used my Xyron 1.5" Sticker maker (great for small pieces like this). The flames were also covered with glossy accents! The card was also framed using the paper straws!
The sentiment is from Technique Junkies and just love the font- pairs so well with the candles!
