Cut it Up Challenge #72 Designer Inspiration

Happy Friday! TGIF!! Today I want to share with you my designer project for the Cut It Up Challenge Blog  Challenge #72 Use a tie die cut (for Father's Day).

The hat and bow tie were cut from black card stock using my Sizzix Eclips and then embossed with Ranger Distress Embossing powder Black Soot for texture. I used Tim Holtz's Mini Ticket die to cut the ticket and the patterned paper behind it, then the mini mustache die to cut out the negative inside the ticket.  These were adhered to each other and the background using the Xyron Creative Station loaded with the 5" Permanent adhesive.

The background is a stencil mono print on watercolor paper using Tim Holtz's stencil and then matted  (using homemade dimensional foam tape made with my Xyron)
onto black corrugate card stock, cut into the postage stamp frame. The entire piece was mounted onto text patterned paper also with the Xyron foam tape.

So come join the fun over at  Cut it Up  this week! Can't wait to see what you create!

I am entering this project into this week's Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge!
