Even though we are in the heart of summer, this is the time of year I get so excited to dive into my Halloween creations. Looking forward to the arrival of my new Tim Holtz seasonal new releases that I just ordered from Simon Says Stamp! In the meanwhile I wanted to create a Halloween themed entry for the CC3C sponsored by Inspiration Emporium. The background was made using Distress Paints and the halloween words background stamp. Using the paint as a resist I then went over with Distress inks. Also put it through the matching embossing folder for additional texture. The Rickety House was done in the industrial theme as Tim demonstrates in his Compendium of Curisioties vol 3. I added the picket fence, painted with picket fence crackle paint and distressed with black soot. I just love adding distress stickles to just about everything-as I did to highlight the windows (mustard seed) and doors/sills (black soot). Die cut a bat and added distress glitter for an added touch to the spooky sky! I just love Halloween and cannot wait to share more creations in the weeks and months to come.
A way to share my artistic creations... a style I like to call mainstream grunge. Be curious!!

CC3C 7: Tim Holtz Painted Industrial

Hi Pam,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing your awesome Painted Industrial piece with us! I wanted to let you know that in order to be eligible to win a prize, you need to link to our challenge sponsor, Inspiration Emporium (dot com). I try to remind our participants whenever I realize they've neglected to do so.
Have a lovely day and thanks again!
Warmly,
Linda
Pam...this is really cute! The second I saw your thumbnail I was drawn in. :) This also make me panic just a bit to think that Halloween will be here before we know it! YIKES! :) You have done such a nice job with Tim's industrial paint technique here. His die cut house works great as a haunted house and I love your Halloween colored embossed background as well. It makes the metal pop! Thanks for sharing with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Love that texture fade you used on the foil... wonderful grungy look! Thanks for sharing it with us at CC3C.
ReplyDeletePam, what a clever creation! That old rickety house sure does look spooky.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Halloween spooktacular house! It looks great on the old rickety house! Thanks for sharing with us at CC3C!
ReplyDeleteFun haunted house with its rickety fence and sparkly bat. I've been enjoying seeing Tim's new release, looks like lots of fun stuff. Have fun with your new halloween treats!
ReplyDeleteLove your haunted house and all the bright Halloween colors!
