Now to share my project for this week's <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/" target="_blank">SSS Monday Challenge</a>:Take Note.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started this project by making several backgrounds with my new Ken Oliver Colorbursts- I just received the Brutus Monroe colors!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFW2h5vsNYNG3OEv9rEV7nZvEqxQyYTsMGQ_Yl8wUg3cQ22JGxOqEVQRMeyzRHrtfre-jny97SZDmKc9XIB9yr9g5jSmv4ZOBmadnVq6yZHckHnq4GL2LhHng3UOQZ2H8cYXZkbbR07xc/s1600/IMG_0024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1230" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFW2h5vsNYNG3OEv9rEV7nZvEqxQyYTsMGQ_Yl8wUg3cQ22JGxOqEVQRMeyzRHrtfre-jny97SZDmKc9XIB9yr9g5jSmv4ZOBmadnVq6yZHckHnq4GL2LhHng3UOQZ2H8cYXZkbbR07xc/s640/IMG_0024.jpg" width="492" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used layering stencils atop the colorful background- using some Distress Black Soot Ink and also Picket Fence Distress spray stain. Added a bit of Tim Holtz design tape too.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the "note" on the card I used the Torn Paper/Notebook On the Edge Die to create the piece of torn notebook paper from Distress Heavystock aged with Antique Linen distress ink. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUcf4iGs6qx3lscCihi10hqWvZ3QaScbZeCDhqoaySE_M7kUEU3niEJV21ISdmvGNPW86fGVgC7ZRYXcy5nwrGAqmfJecJb7OYl5W7ZY_jKIAJzTCRcxzyPadva1E_o24hjrNmhd-UcDo/s1600/IMG_0025.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1042" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUcf4iGs6qx3lscCihi10hqWvZ3QaScbZeCDhqoaySE_M7kUEU3niEJV21ISdmvGNPW86fGVgC7ZRYXcy5nwrGAqmfJecJb7OYl5W7ZY_jKIAJzTCRcxzyPadva1E_o24hjrNmhd-UcDo/s640/IMG_0025.jpg" width="416" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The paper was stamped with a Tim Holtz background stamp- lightly inked with black soot. The quote was stamped in Versafine Black and clear heat embossed. For a bit more texture and dimension I added some flecks of Picket Fence Distress spray with a paint brush. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnuvbC0Ls9uarHitibGYZy0WyUyFKBc-FZv5lCteAu1QHAaRQ7J_oMtjHfdQ7h-nokslj8eUf0whqIP16UbVZK81Iv_g0bGLYtou0vpyciof8gUldl1d_mMW8DNC8tWecFgvZyX7m9sRo/s1600/IMG_0027.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnuvbC0Ls9uarHitibGYZy0WyUyFKBc-FZv5lCteAu1QHAaRQ7J_oMtjHfdQ7h-nokslj8eUf0whqIP16UbVZK81Iv_g0bGLYtou0vpyciof8gUldl1d_mMW8DNC8tWecFgvZyX7m9sRo/s640/IMG_0027.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Idea-ology clip was distressed with an assortment of Distress embossing powder to give it an aged look.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioqlv_YnTAU_fPFksOJZQsDFGO6fHIQbqxK4UDQuLAa0u1ugk1AJ0p-sm-xnTwXuuQjVnrtzMdFbiW9Ai4V9Vo97F4pXQHtkk4ByQ4dd90kzzT_-OuY2IKXUUKXWSGHTjxxVpsoB6N8hY/s1600/IMG_0029.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioqlv_YnTAU_fPFksOJZQsDFGO6fHIQbqxK4UDQuLAa0u1ugk1AJ0p-sm-xnTwXuuQjVnrtzMdFbiW9Ai4V9Vo97F4pXQHtkk4ByQ4dd90kzzT_-OuY2IKXUUKXWSGHTjxxVpsoB6N8hY/s640/IMG_0029.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This same technique was used on the pen nib to get the same texture.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Happy Saturday all! Wanted to get a quick post off before heading out to work today. Today's project features another background created with Ken Oliver Colorburst, this time combined with Tim Holtz layering stencils.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ17dPnAvSZhhI07yRcq6t2NWGpaVt7OpGD-EofSkHtOuG1j7SNBYXlhEGk_xHZA1dXtOMbNMpDzT-Y2oKcsuWivbe8SSywre1Kl7OezKp9IGJ4MNCqbviP0TvYwDNftQXL1uF9IJRyaY/s1600/IMG_0009+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1277" data-original-width="1600" height="510" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJ17dPnAvSZhhI07yRcq6t2NWGpaVt7OpGD-EofSkHtOuG1j7SNBYXlhEGk_xHZA1dXtOMbNMpDzT-Y2oKcsuWivbe8SSywre1Kl7OezKp9IGJ4MNCqbviP0TvYwDNftQXL1uF9IJRyaY/s640/IMG_0009+2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Overtop of this gorgeous Colorburst background, I used the Tim Holtz Heartstruck layering stencil with Picket Fence Distress Spray stain.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The cupid silhouette was cut from Simon Says Stamp Black card stock and stamped with the Tim Holtz Ledger stamp in Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink for some added interest. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuEncmySisF2-oKPlDToWMWNzlXuFbN8O4bTKIyue9A7JyP5e-HFuGDiJ2n2Y3m2nkdvLuK8r8KRpIiTk60s0KrEoaMaTFCkEUKYEnkzz_H7J9-cu6bV_ZkbK7wq22JstMMgheurc_eW4/s1600/IMG_0010+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1375" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuEncmySisF2-oKPlDToWMWNzlXuFbN8O4bTKIyue9A7JyP5e-HFuGDiJ2n2Y3m2nkdvLuK8r8KRpIiTk60s0KrEoaMaTFCkEUKYEnkzz_H7J9-cu6bV_ZkbK7wq22JstMMgheurc_eW4/s640/IMG_0010+2.jpg" width="550" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The heart was cut from corrugated card and colored with Distress Spray stain -love the texture here! I also splattered a bit of the Picket Fence Distress Stain onto the heart !</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Both cut outs are from Tim's Lovestruck Bigz die.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added an Idea-ology arrow and some chit chat stickers for the sentiment.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope you have enjoyed my Valentine series over the past few weeks! Hello fellow crafters! Hope everyone is having a fantastic Thursday! Yesterday I spent the day in the studio, first making some fun backgrounds with Ken Oliver Colorburst and then I tried out the new <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim Holtz</a> <a href="http://rangerink.com/" target="_blank">Ranger</a> Distress Resist Spray! This product is so addictive. From these backgrounds I created a card for the <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/" target="_blank">Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: It Must Be Love!</a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipBXOUopztmvWXRX4FEkuKSKD2ARiB0ZyJAUxqj9ykavSfq3ACL1JGAb8aZMmRqxh1a-n0_Ms2UxfxbTO07xubi_SAgQd4ZwOeU8klxjIMBQJyiKDu5Ny2CQsc6f-aP-J-IsWObZczdeM/s1600/IMG_0004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1038" data-original-width="1600" height="414" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipBXOUopztmvWXRX4FEkuKSKD2ARiB0ZyJAUxqj9ykavSfq3ACL1JGAb8aZMmRqxh1a-n0_Ms2UxfxbTO07xubi_SAgQd4ZwOeU8klxjIMBQJyiKDu5Ny2CQsc6f-aP-J-IsWObZczdeM/s640/IMG_0004.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the background I sprayed the Distress Resist Spray through a My Favorite Things stencil (Graduated Hearts) and then sprayed several colors of Distress Spray Stain over top. To add additional dimension I used a few more stencils with Distress Ink to add layers to the background. The additional layers, though subtle, really make this background pop.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinJzfKklx4qFNjC3vQce-stbpNyrzCjhourPDYAdO8HQ_b3rh1T4aBYdkLErQ3WATXZ-fQzPbsbqyE3AYAJaMYYFnVLdj134NzNXB6KCVSmrm5qbmd0NftRsWSijhHNClmwbI3C9PUePM/s1600/IMG_0007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1218" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinJzfKklx4qFNjC3vQce-stbpNyrzCjhourPDYAdO8HQ_b3rh1T4aBYdkLErQ3WATXZ-fQzPbsbqyE3AYAJaMYYFnVLdj134NzNXB6KCVSmrm5qbmd0NftRsWSijhHNClmwbI3C9PUePM/s640/IMG_0007.jpg" width="486" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the focal image I used Tim Holtz Valentine blueprint stamps, stamped with Versafine black and clear heat embossed. I wanted to be sure to get a dark image over the resist background. The "14" portion of the stamp was then stamped again and watercolored with Distress Markers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRVRhctn9qQyVRtm_78HlHWewx-EvMuWkdhrkdCsuqrlkSNxQyNEeISJjZ2IF3MKlQD7o1Foofhyphenhyphen3TYz7naEvrJt51WC-Avh79mlwoSo79doxRbFH9DPqB4wpXsk5fXZLMvR8Ry8Lqt_Q/s1600/IMG_0007+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1585" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRVRhctn9qQyVRtm_78HlHWewx-EvMuWkdhrkdCsuqrlkSNxQyNEeISJjZ2IF3MKlQD7o1Foofhyphenhyphen3TYz7naEvrJt51WC-Avh79mlwoSo79doxRbFH9DPqB4wpXsk5fXZLMvR8Ry8Lqt_Q/s640/IMG_0007+2.jpg" width="632" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am also entering this project into the <a href="https://www.thefunkiejunkie.com/" target="_blank">Funky Junkie Boutique's</a> <a href="http://frillyandfunkie.blogspot.com/2018/01/all-you-need-is-love.html" target="_blank">Frilly and Funkie Challenge</a>. A few embellishments were added, including the LOVE ticket- (as the <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/" target="_blank">F</a>rilly and Funky Challenge requires the word LOVE appear in the project!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Happy Wednesday fellow crafters! I have received so many new products over the past few days I need an entire week in the studio to play! Today I decided to use my new (new to me) <a href="https://www.facebook.com/kenolivercrafts/" target="_blank">Ken Oliver </a>Colorbust to create some fun backgrounds to use later in other cards. I did end up using one of the backgrounds for the card I am sharing today for the <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge</a> Love is in the Air. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First here's a peek at some of the backgrounds I made using Ken's Spritz and Sprinkle technique. I added my own flair to the technique by using some of the water reactive properties of the Colorburst to create some interesting textures on my backgrounds as well. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have to say I am in love with this product, the colors are gorgeous. I used <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim Holtz</a>'s watercolor paper and some Bristol smooth card stock today for my backgrounds. Waiting on an order of Ken's Watercolor Media paper to see the differences in the surfaces. The Colorburst is definitely brighter on the Bristol paper but it doesn't take as much water as the watercolor paper of course.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjMfzGF_Y5hbReEKU5I746wnqsPhsvGZ-xhqO2c-K9AvaArmgLG2q9itpaOT9gYTHkp54mG3I7jIEYvb5TTejqO8rYg57wIByQxnfQzlYT81-G3p9OZ3b-4V4OjNkw_4g81bEOISLOE2M/s1600/IMG_9987.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1236" data-original-width="1600" height="494" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjMfzGF_Y5hbReEKU5I746wnqsPhsvGZ-xhqO2c-K9AvaArmgLG2q9itpaOT9gYTHkp54mG3I7jIEYvb5TTejqO8rYg57wIByQxnfQzlYT81-G3p9OZ3b-4V4OjNkw_4g81bEOISLOE2M/s640/IMG_9987.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The background I chose for my card project is not pictured above but to create it I used some warm colors from the Colorburst palette and then added Distress Ink over top with a stencil for some depth. I stamped in Archival Black Soot the Tim Holtz Stamp Ledger Script over the entire background.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-MAcPyyLMnL4zaLDQj72b5jjvt-xjgQCWY44-1pWJ5s8b9NZfUQQp2PE_JrqKYoUTcTqPdXvfQNXIiaoY9DEm9dMgaDiG3JKJF6Dj-1sznbG9NHD66gFVOo8iwk9A62V4sid30TgncSE/s1600/IMG_9996.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1258" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-MAcPyyLMnL4zaLDQj72b5jjvt-xjgQCWY44-1pWJ5s8b9NZfUQQp2PE_JrqKYoUTcTqPdXvfQNXIiaoY9DEm9dMgaDiG3JKJF6Dj-1sznbG9NHD66gFVOo8iwk9A62V4sid30TgncSE/s640/IMG_9996.jpg" width="502" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love the combination of colors here and by combining some Distress colors with the Colorburst background it just made the background really pop.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used a sentiment from Tim's From the Heart set as my focal point- heat embossed with clear embossing powder over black Versafine ink. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRpTRNYTqBFvW0c3598WAfepybBvYn2cJR-FI50uLaSsXvInuZUP_BKKU-u_POVWka3NXjrhCgB7qZdB2YaEsGi8LgCcGPLuyQT-1Af7l3QtlJZrM0Q-Jg3Kaq1FHeF3YF7T7F5cCBfY8/s1600/IMG_9993.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRpTRNYTqBFvW0c3598WAfepybBvYn2cJR-FI50uLaSsXvInuZUP_BKKU-u_POVWka3NXjrhCgB7qZdB2YaEsGi8LgCcGPLuyQT-1Af7l3QtlJZrM0Q-Jg3Kaq1FHeF3YF7T7F5cCBfY8/s640/IMG_9993.jpg" width="478" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Added a few embellishments from the Ideology line and a heart I made from grungeboard covered with crackle paint and Distress stain.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhQW-0k7VG9VQX9t9YkeQVprx4ptB0SXv_kA7GinlF1YEg7oYIj2TgpxdypfM34__jCHNIEDlMui-yL7bvMqMZi9Zl1HkqNUiLOBF7ksK9JQqH5jZZehBvvfds2ady3W8frJciU4NO8NQ/s1600/IMG_9991.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1167" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhQW-0k7VG9VQX9t9YkeQVprx4ptB0SXv_kA7GinlF1YEg7oYIj2TgpxdypfM34__jCHNIEDlMui-yL7bvMqMZi9Zl1HkqNUiLOBF7ksK9JQqH5jZZehBvvfds2ady3W8frJciU4NO8NQ/s640/IMG_9991.jpg" width="466" /></a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Morning all! I was playing in the studio this weekend using <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim Holtz</a>'s Distress Micro Glaze Resist technique (from <a href="https://www.onlinecardclasses.com/product/tim-holtz-creative-chemistry-103/" target="_blank">Creative Chemistry 103</a>). I love working with stencils, inks and tags so this is right up my alley! Also this week's <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge </a>is Tag It so I decided to join in there also!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I also challenged myself to use my new Side Orders from Tim and Sizzix along with my Side Kick Machine. Love this little guy!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9prGyEfjO0QUu2TElKnKBvHM3hBdZGCd9B2N4YPxRZPd92CMH7qluiuR2qeTF90q3jypAlJDH5CM4bnsVNN-C8kYnpyv1E99OufyU4MQi94Ud4W2sCWuNH5f7qjhKc097pmSCiAqtqno/s1600/IMG_9932.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1317" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9prGyEfjO0QUu2TElKnKBvHM3hBdZGCd9B2N4YPxRZPd92CMH7qluiuR2qeTF90q3jypAlJDH5CM4bnsVNN-C8kYnpyv1E99OufyU4MQi94Ud4W2sCWuNH5f7qjhKc097pmSCiAqtqno/s640/IMG_9932.jpg" width="526" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The backgrounds are layered using Tim's stencils and micro glaze along with Distress Ink Sprays. I also added an additional layer with stencils and Ground Espresso Distress Ink.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDbfZfvMLATErGkVgVHRzW0gkgAUFdqCE2uiOIkuLfxMlhh_suQI5PlEZ2GTuJ3ryT-ENtq2tsU51twg9qL2hXYCbuO55vshqreEwUENK5JaAfVskv2DwsPvKu8OApyMYzo2HDDYSDMiU/s1600/IMG_9934.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDbfZfvMLATErGkVgVHRzW0gkgAUFdqCE2uiOIkuLfxMlhh_suQI5PlEZ2GTuJ3ryT-ENtq2tsU51twg9qL2hXYCbuO55vshqreEwUENK5JaAfVskv2DwsPvKu8OApyMYzo2HDDYSDMiU/s640/IMG_9934.jpg" width="358" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I added some of the cute shapes from the Side Order Love- and grunged them up of course. For a finishing touch I splashed some Picket Fence Distress paint over top.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Love this technique and the depth you can get with all the layering!</div>

Still playing with all my new <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/" target="_blank">My Favorite Things</a> new releases-making Valentine's Day cards. Here's another card using the fun <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=monster+sized" target="_blank">Monster Sized stamp and die set</a>. I may be addicted to these critters. I have them peeking out of the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=striped+heart" target="_blank">MFT Peek A BooStriped Heart die</a>.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFXKEXw7M4bIdZSP5FXFLX8B-fr3WeMaUAQbP4iyeD1_xaFNAOnm5YGcagZT7Br9C7a60uSlyOtIEGgg_lsjPTi_1zxgV01u6VPprdC7522YHnLos007F_uJKGxQgQcGvUoEOm8SgcgP0/s1600/IMG_9902+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1231" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFXKEXw7M4bIdZSP5FXFLX8B-fr3WeMaUAQbP4iyeD1_xaFNAOnm5YGcagZT7Br9C7a60uSlyOtIEGgg_lsjPTi_1zxgV01u6VPprdC7522YHnLos007F_uJKGxQgQcGvUoEOm8SgcgP0/s640/IMG_9902+2.jpg" width="492" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
For the next card I used the <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Valentine+Wishes" target="_blank">MFTValentine Wishes Stamp set</a>- heat embossed onto a watercolor background created with <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim Holtz </a> <a href="http://rangerink.com/" target="_blank">Ranger Distress Crayons</a>. I also used some <a href="http://rangerink.com/" target="_blank">Ranger Distress ink</a> and stencils (<a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=full+of+heart" target="_blank">MFT Full of Heart </a>and <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/product?id=132001" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Falling Hearts</a>) to layer atop the watercolor to add some interest and dimension.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIp8XSq78hhDRLmXziSD5nTMstOOkoWjcCGpn0ycuHVBkn1zjsIArVAqUsNoi5h538BdKi1ZkYcCeFKn66s-ziN_Xy8uelb9pzREDmYWJVO1pP6bts6sbYuQTIhFe5INXgdaIGFTu28s0/s1600/IMG_9896.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIp8XSq78hhDRLmXziSD5nTMstOOkoWjcCGpn0ycuHVBkn1zjsIArVAqUsNoi5h538BdKi1ZkYcCeFKn66s-ziN_Xy8uelb9pzREDmYWJVO1pP6bts6sbYuQTIhFe5INXgdaIGFTu28s0/s640/IMG_9896.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
It was so much fun making these card- I mass produced a bunch of the Valentine Wishes to send out to my friends and loved ones!</div>

Hello all! It has been a long time since I have posted on my blog, but I am excited to get back into the swing of things. Now that we are officially settled here in South Carolina and my studio is rebuilt I am ready to share some fun projects, inspiration and tutorials with y'all.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For today's post I am featuring a Valentine's Day card that I made for the <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Layering</a>. It features <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/" target="_blank">My Favorite Things</a> stamp <a href="http://www.mftstamps.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=monster+size" target="_blank">Monster Sized</a>-love these cute monsters!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_R1yoYesGYDTrHm9EmGkRfQ8JgniepNKih4C9YUGTYWws3uQKjjPjayEJXQGAVTCtFod6HD-zjb78YiwBJaXzH8Wqui0KjsjgMPSB8xYywBY6a6kBMyesixCjb_TJXTrYE-TUEQaxGXI/s1600/IMG_9894.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1215" data-original-width="1600" height="486" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_R1yoYesGYDTrHm9EmGkRfQ8JgniepNKih4C9YUGTYWws3uQKjjPjayEJXQGAVTCtFod6HD-zjb78YiwBJaXzH8Wqui0KjsjgMPSB8xYywBY6a6kBMyesixCjb_TJXTrYE-TUEQaxGXI/s640/IMG_9894.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stamped the background using two of the little monsters from the set and then colored them with Copic markers. I layered the one "red" monster atop one of the stamped images for some depth and added some google eyes as well.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmA0RtEF_dpHWkJFeChs1Ma0ZLJtftGhZ5I61yei6kw5mI_igmOhYq-LpYIZQj7kJ9wq5BH6leQ6lK_IFAgieIiqE3GzyrFp0U0bQ6tV3WccS3HPaW3uXWrm4YUh26R2AZ7CBpeEvQq_c/s1600/IMG_9893+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmA0RtEF_dpHWkJFeChs1Ma0ZLJtftGhZ5I61yei6kw5mI_igmOhYq-LpYIZQj7kJ9wq5BH6leQ6lK_IFAgieIiqE3GzyrFp0U0bQ6tV3WccS3HPaW3uXWrm4YUh26R2AZ7CBpeEvQq_c/s640/IMG_9893+2.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then stamped the sentiment "Sending Monster sized Love" onto <a href="https://www.simonsaysstamp.com/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp</a> black card stock and white heat embossed it. I again layered this atop the middle of the card front with some dimensional foam tape.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To add a bit more interest to the white background areas I used the <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim Holtz </a>Distress Marker Sprayer and the Candied Apple Distress Marker to add some fine mists of ink in these areas.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I just love this stamp set and stay tuned here on my blog for some additional projects for Valentine's Day using these as well as other stamps from the MFT new release.</div>

I am featuring such a great stamp set this month:<a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/palm-trees-set-of-3/" target="_blank">Palm Trees, set of 3</a>. Just a perfect sentiment and one of the many reasons I moved to warmer weather here in the South! Even though our palms in SC are technically Palmettos - it still fits!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtRQhXZVKloQbsQkOoQ47HzM10RaFZfArDTanKQp8fYXt8Ro_lLsob-d95t271IjcJwgCJLtipBGyoS9nQli6tmcj88skjnZ1cQ_6OFWHl-O0QZxoYQ3F3XlRfKXh2S7Z4tmHkAZ38bbI/s1600/3AFD6F19-0D30-4502-AD56-C8BC80D0E6A7+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtRQhXZVKloQbsQkOoQ47HzM10RaFZfArDTanKQp8fYXt8Ro_lLsob-d95t271IjcJwgCJLtipBGyoS9nQli6tmcj88skjnZ1cQ_6OFWHl-O0QZxoYQ3F3XlRfKXh2S7Z4tmHkAZ38bbI/s640/3AFD6F19-0D30-4502-AD56-C8BC80D0E6A7+2.jpg" width="484" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The background was created using distress inks and layering stencils- I love this technique because you get such and organic feel. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx7nfThGV4eFT2X9GcWiGukfhZUUrvV0Slfbvblg0wmUmMwKytdFkge7cWMZS4rWanShRSAXG-BFFbF-dPUvBQtM_Xu9sPkAOFbE-CUAPFKImcnujJ4SeI01teA7TPhyphenhyphenW-hrzICUjUbcA/s1600/5053082E-75C1-4492-835C-19A94C908A77.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgx7nfThGV4eFT2X9GcWiGukfhZUUrvV0Slfbvblg0wmUmMwKytdFkge7cWMZS4rWanShRSAXG-BFFbF-dPUvBQtM_Xu9sPkAOFbE-CUAPFKImcnujJ4SeI01teA7TPhyphenhyphenW-hrzICUjUbcA/s640/5053082E-75C1-4492-835C-19A94C908A77.jpg" width="484" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Of course I used my <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/products-and-accessories/misti/" target="_blank">MISTI </a>for the stamping- almost a must for the silhouette stamps- and I just love how the Distress Paint layering shines through the Archival Black soot ink on the palm trees giving it an ethereal feel.</div>

Happy Thursday all! Today I am not only showcasing <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/" target="_blank">Technique Junkies</a> here on my blog, but I have another post on the <a href="http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">TJ Design team blog</a> as part of the 30 Days of Christmas celebration- be sure to check it out. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As many of you know I have 3 dogs that are very near and dear to my heart so I made this card using one of the fantastic Dog stamp sets from TJ: <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/dog-quotes/" target="_blank">Dog Quotes</a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5iiEYX94xq-hQ_0GWZArXtVeb9KbrKzKBxMEhDAEFbOz0aUCbSIaoY_jJdwRkPzRTW86GXlCbA1C9b9LuiQ4Rh6Bk2gXMq0QIozLGPxj2KoMQDZBqBC7HLAz1R0FnJ-KLWmCbSs4AgBk/s1600/DSC_3982.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5iiEYX94xq-hQ_0GWZArXtVeb9KbrKzKBxMEhDAEFbOz0aUCbSIaoY_jJdwRkPzRTW86GXlCbA1C9b9LuiQ4Rh6Bk2gXMq0QIozLGPxj2KoMQDZBqBC7HLAz1R0FnJ-KLWmCbSs4AgBk/s640/DSC_3982.jpg" width="540" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used one of my favorite quotes from the set in a repeating pattern for the background of this fun and simple card for any dog lover! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A large paw print, cut with a thin die (Paper Smooches) from textured black card stock, was added to the corner for a bit of interest!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There are so many quotes in this set that you could even make a set of notecards as a gift for the dog lover in your life, using a different quote or multiple quotes for the background image.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for joining me today and be sure to stop by the <a href="http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">TJ blog</a> also for my Christmas post!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Embrace Imperfection!</div>

Happy Wednesday all! Today I wanted to share a project featuring the <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/" target="_blank">Technique Junkies</a> <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/november-2016/" target="_blank">November release</a> sentiment stamp <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/wonderful-world/" target="_blank">Wonderful World</a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmnqkl4M6XL1OvYIiQTFoE9y2rA28Ohj3xI_low3_u58PJem6fPyhMK6vJ7IEASx7YHsMUnKU3EMmdfqG0GrWEeO-eKv2q4dBs0D9k2nwAlxnIC6dFlTMmpEnUTyzXYM6oH3uOraXM5_g/s1600/DSC_3980.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmnqkl4M6XL1OvYIiQTFoE9y2rA28Ohj3xI_low3_u58PJem6fPyhMK6vJ7IEASx7YHsMUnKU3EMmdfqG0GrWEeO-eKv2q4dBs0D9k2nwAlxnIC6dFlTMmpEnUTyzXYM6oH3uOraXM5_g/s640/DSC_3980.jpg" width="552" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This stamp pairs perfectly with this simple background, created by running a piece of watercolor card stock through a "clouds" embossing folder and inking over with Distress inks (several shades of blue).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrOLfGD9jrfRAMDis8TC9xX_oC2Zu-xbxAXwVluiDON9y7J0bI217t5pKcb3ovG2MqldlydoNUhIsgroC9R2RLB3Z2z6jiyP8JtbgOm6Aqb2YqY8WXRIsiJx64iu81Yj5mt8LKmzI9ydY/s1600/DSC_3985.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrOLfGD9jrfRAMDis8TC9xX_oC2Zu-xbxAXwVluiDON9y7J0bI217t5pKcb3ovG2MqldlydoNUhIsgroC9R2RLB3Z2z6jiyP8JtbgOm6Aqb2YqY8WXRIsiJx64iu81Yj5mt8LKmzI9ydY/s640/DSC_3985.jpg" width="440" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The sentiment itself was stamped in black Versafine ink onto watercolor paper as well and "popped" onto the center of the background.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for joining me today and be sure to stay tuned to the <a href="http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Technique Junkies Design Team </a>blog for the entire 30 days of Christmas going on now! </div>

Happy Monday all! I am so excited to share some of my Halloween creations for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! I love this time of year and I love creating all kinds of spooky projects for Halloween. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For this challenge, I have created a Graveyard scene, using a ton of Tim Holtz products and of course Ranger ink!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4DrxmVQJczFYlLTmGk18n1olgr_oA_3fMI1552g8vh8x8rSgOnT8ibq26iwrah0wzI1inPF7U36hwrPQCAFFf67eFIXTmYTkjy0r2w4T9Z9oGd5aOl_IR2aJYVXtHIN0IuswPze3dqm4/s1600/DSC_3569.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="512" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4DrxmVQJczFYlLTmGk18n1olgr_oA_3fMI1552g8vh8x8rSgOnT8ibq26iwrah0wzI1inPF7U36hwrPQCAFFf67eFIXTmYTkjy0r2w4T9Z9oGd5aOl_IR2aJYVXtHIN0IuswPze3dqm4/s640/DSC_3569.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Some of the Tim Holtz Sizzix alterations dies used were: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Headstone</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Branch Tree</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bat mover and shaper</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the Edge -On the Fence</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On the Edge-Graveyard</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Coffin Box</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The headstone was created using a technique I learned from Ranger a while back, using tissue paper and Distress Paint to obtain the worn look. All of the pieces were cut from grungeboard with the exception of the coffin-which was cut from heavy card stock. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Distress paint was used to color the fences and trees, giving them a spooky and "old crickety" look.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This project was so much fun to create!</div>

<br />
I created 3 Holiday cards using the <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/merry-christmas-wishes/" target="_blank">Merry Christmas Wishes stamp</a>. It was stamped with Versamark ink onto watercolor paper and then embossed with white embossing powder.<br />
Over top I applied Distress Ink using a technique I learned from <a href="http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/" target="_blank"> Jennifer Mcguire.</a> <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Distress ink was applied to my craft sheet and then sprayed with pearlized water. I then used my finger to actually paint this background. This allows you more control than using a brush.</div>

Welcome back Junkies! I am back today to share another project featuring a few of the holiday themed stamps from <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/" target="_blank">Technique Junkies</a>: </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/christmas-trees-set-of-6/" target="_blank">Christmas Trees</a></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/circle-date-o-matic/" target="_blank">Circle Date-o-Matic</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh71CdKT5SUrE3bBRSBL0HIbu2vOidpV6e19xhs5vNAmNuWBg-c3JufKlBmeCGivluuoSAy7n8WpccY4FScfPpcwSY2TrJJWbH2h3cG609_onUN2rJGAx42-tND2w1TgziNQimrrQ5Mcuc/s1600/DSC_3562.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="484" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh71CdKT5SUrE3bBRSBL0HIbu2vOidpV6e19xhs5vNAmNuWBg-c3JufKlBmeCGivluuoSAy7n8WpccY4FScfPpcwSY2TrJJWbH2h3cG609_onUN2rJGAx42-tND2w1TgziNQimrrQ5Mcuc/s640/DSC_3562.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I created the background by randomly stamping one of the Christmas trees from the set onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock with Ranger Dye Inks. Then I applied distress markers over top using the Distress Marker spritzer by Tim Holtz to create the soft mist. I added the circle Date-o-Matic and the sentiment to finish off the piece. What a fun and festive- and quick Christmas note card!</div>

Hello all! Thanks for joining me today- I am doing a two day series featuring <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/" target="_blank">Technique Junkies</a> stamps leading into our October 1 blog hop-so I hope you will join me for all!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For today's project I decided to use a background stamp-one from the <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/october-2016/" target="_blank">October "early" release</a> called <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/baubles/" target="_blank">Baubles</a>. However I decided to use it in a different way. I did indeed make a background with it- but then used the piece to die cut some carved ornaments (from Tim Holtz/Sizzix).</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIqTc2yHeRgNqSAg3OCzvx0w9AskZMoDex5hQz4M1nFq1o4rX8zZJaILbAW0B6Ixz7GrZ9v556wMLNkkoBWOXWHqivI4RyfPzNappcjZ1rXEPkx1DvSuVMcsuSL6_Y5Lr-XhBXqsz2SNo/s1600/DSC_3558.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="497" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIqTc2yHeRgNqSAg3OCzvx0w9AskZMoDex5hQz4M1nFq1o4rX8zZJaILbAW0B6Ixz7GrZ9v556wMLNkkoBWOXWHqivI4RyfPzNappcjZ1rXEPkx1DvSuVMcsuSL6_Y5Lr-XhBXqsz2SNo/s640/DSC_3558.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started by stamping the entire background Baubles stamp onto Neenah White card stock using Versa Mark ink and covering with WOW silver embossing powder. To give the piece a stained glass look- I colored the inside of each bauble with Zig Brush Markers. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUqbSA7HqWfTtejdwzLjicCj4ZDjsElcw50a3OdL0CVXjN0YFE1N7m2ZzNpV9ocFsKEh4vBS5iSzwHdSAi7My2J0bH3WFgrAl1Kn2LkKuDMaZhx5wvcyjiUPjZjM-YKhJn3suyS3uQBaw/s1600/DSC_3560.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUqbSA7HqWfTtejdwzLjicCj4ZDjsElcw50a3OdL0CVXjN0YFE1N7m2ZzNpV9ocFsKEh4vBS5iSzwHdSAi7My2J0bH3WFgrAl1Kn2LkKuDMaZhx5wvcyjiUPjZjM-YKhJn3suyS3uQBaw/s640/DSC_3560.jpg" width="568" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then I used distress inks and spray stains to color the entire piece (one in blues and one in greens). Once colored and heat set the piece was use to die cut out the matching ornaments.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The card was finished by cutting the sentiment from corrugate card stock using Tim Holtz Christmas words thinlit dies and of course adding a little vintage grunge!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Please stop back by Friday for another feature of the TJ stamps and of course join us on Saturday for the <a href="http://techniquejunkies.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Design Team Blog</a> Hop!</div>

Hi all! Just wanted to share with you a really fun project I created for this week's <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge- At the Movies</a> and for the September <a href="http://www.vintagejourney.com/2016/09/a-vintage-journey-september-challenge.html?m=1" target="_blank">Vintage Journey Challenge</a>-Create with a Frame.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started by grabbing all the <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim Holtz's</a> movie related stamps, dies, idea-ology etc that I have and then just pieced this creation together.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmM7w9A3q_f8HgJrzwj3Tdi94Q3GzSJ9NMfmj3h0OwwS7s9bpLz2V1th4IgmWqVlizbmNf1IKdZin7vh6J39fL0J-_0gzQu39UY_ODtSSHDhitf0sApww7mO-fmXUUSySVHcJF37caipQ/s1600/DSC_3526.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="504" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmM7w9A3q_f8HgJrzwj3Tdi94Q3GzSJ9NMfmj3h0OwwS7s9bpLz2V1th4IgmWqVlizbmNf1IKdZin7vh6J39fL0J-_0gzQu39UY_ODtSSHDhitf0sApww7mO-fmXUUSySVHcJF37caipQ/s640/DSC_3526.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I started out to make a card but it then turned into a mixed media dimensional project which I set into a box frame.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp0zSNrmpsQ1_FvwA2LI9MisIbxD_yywYmyCJPd6JDHWf8xv-rYfAQFEe2Q8_1vdA6n0bwP70O7HrwSWOA9ChzBgnIn8Wsbjryj9dNc8zPWAh9dENhImqQh2oB6NEEPAsKCEWKtPCpziI/s1600/DSC_3528.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="628" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp0zSNrmpsQ1_FvwA2LI9MisIbxD_yywYmyCJPd6JDHWf8xv-rYfAQFEe2Q8_1vdA6n0bwP70O7HrwSWOA9ChzBgnIn8Wsbjryj9dNc8zPWAh9dENhImqQh2oB6NEEPAsKCEWKtPCpziI/s640/DSC_3528.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I even made a little film reel from a wooden sewing spool and Tim Holtz's Idea-ology film strip ribbon.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi83BnNd9vExtaUEsmU-cG-XVvNenRd1yXPGhx_4eeeT0iVBFrJh68mErbDAtwjEX10Czlx9eD_xR_AUr0AEuXcpwUdf7WQdUlTmTdE-NTRkPDnJqIQiAI62SP6RlUrhPZgREYQ7TJR2s/s1600/DSC_3529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgi83BnNd9vExtaUEsmU-cG-XVvNenRd1yXPGhx_4eeeT0iVBFrJh68mErbDAtwjEX10Czlx9eD_xR_AUr0AEuXcpwUdf7WQdUlTmTdE-NTRkPDnJqIQiAI62SP6RlUrhPZgREYQ7TJR2s/s640/DSC_3529.jpg" width="544" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used one of my favorite stamp sets At the Movies CMS081 for the popcorn box and also the Ticket Collage wood mounted stamp for the background. I added 2 cut-out from the Picture Wheel Bigz die which I cut out of foil card stock, painted with Distress paint and place atop frosted film to give the look of a true negative reel,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfmZFA4EUqAkvTwLyaYR4wmuXTvOiVWNRceKgFteWJkUX1wbdL8CDZVrXVFhnpH5kJ5hV-XTeDKfJAYcyzmHRs5lhiAsGpNZeq3PWm-6FDrVLuggTYg1tfvoOv7gSjGLjL_JaL9NFSS5I/s1600/DSC_3536.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfmZFA4EUqAkvTwLyaYR4wmuXTvOiVWNRceKgFteWJkUX1wbdL8CDZVrXVFhnpH5kJ5hV-XTeDKfJAYcyzmHRs5lhiAsGpNZeq3PWm-6FDrVLuggTYg1tfvoOv7gSjGLjL_JaL9NFSS5I/s640/DSC_3536.jpg" width="442" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added the "at the movies" theme phrase using Tim's Letterpress Wood blocks- painted to coordinate with the red and yellow from the popcorn box.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Thanks for joining me today and check out the SSS Monday Challenge for some great inspiration from their super talented designers!</div>

Hey y'all! We have a tropical storm in our midst today so I have hunkered down in the studio and got an early start on my <a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2016-september/" target="_blank">September 12 Tags</a>! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht0ofAtpIUUUUrKG4DC89FNAKP8S16buIHtden2dh4WKuRBfFD8tA4Mb1r6_Rwjk8TkoYiMCKzNMuEwT8tMKI8rnnmfvQllW3Nx6AXOTn-zGa7sdU1PmRfhiU_8f1XNeXYfmE-l48qexU/s1600/DSC_3451.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="362" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht0ofAtpIUUUUrKG4DC89FNAKP8S16buIHtden2dh4WKuRBfFD8tA4Mb1r6_Rwjk8TkoYiMCKzNMuEwT8tMKI8rnnmfvQllW3Nx6AXOTn-zGa7sdU1PmRfhiU_8f1XNeXYfmE-l48qexU/s640/DSC_3451.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started by created a bunch of Paint Patina backgrounds on manila tags.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then for the second background I used Black and Mushroom Alcohol inks on Yupo and then stamped in various colors of Archival Inks to create the "negative" technique (as seen in Creative Chemistry 103). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the TWIST I sprayed a couple of the backgrounds with Isopropyl Alcohol- creating a droplet effect that when dried turned into a cool blue splotchy background.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I added a bit of hand "stitching" to two of the three tags and will be entering these in the <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: It's a Stitch Up</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
So many of the designs from this month pair so well with one of my favorite "spooky" background stamps: <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/spider-webs/" target="_blank">Spider Webs</a> so of course I decided to pair them up for this project.<br />
My first card uses a fun paint resist technique for the background and the main focus is the new release sentiment: <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/happy-halloween/" target="_blank">Happy Halloween</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV-f5F83geDdiUzfYSvsOPW9JccTpit8_pttEDgCXY2TojjbTFqEd3pwZj23YAloht0140dmWtoMz8WYasOkdTp51199xjhWP2k14Y6-zvyoPnbMCO9oTnkYDiMXyhUqmUuDq4zS0g8Z4/s1600/DSC_3450.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="490" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiV-f5F83geDdiUzfYSvsOPW9JccTpit8_pttEDgCXY2TojjbTFqEd3pwZj23YAloht0140dmWtoMz8WYasOkdTp51199xjhWP2k14Y6-zvyoPnbMCO9oTnkYDiMXyhUqmUuDq4zS0g8Z4/s640/DSC_3450.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
For my second card I chose the <a href="http://techniquejunkies.com/witchy-moon/" target="_blank">Witchy Moon </a>stamp. This is a great silhouette stamp and just perfectly paired with the Spider Web background and the Happy Hallowen sentiment.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello everyone! Hope y'all had a fantastic weekend. I just finished my project for this week's <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge</a> and I am so excited to share it with you. The theme this week is Go Fish so I decided to use some of my favorite Sand and Sea elements from <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim Holtz</a> and of course my favorite Ranger Distress Inks.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqdIjKo-5-Vv0eks9-ZAAtnsE92qm6JQoGNrbnUUrklhmqS4NkEnYFBSGxvVNzoOnGCNy1aw9NfPHv6iR63H7pC7qAC9pfduX3u2a9NfO48Clsx1Ggox9Nbw0abwjuoCdf47CDhAMxxJ4/s1600/DSC_3431.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqdIjKo-5-Vv0eks9-ZAAtnsE92qm6JQoGNrbnUUrklhmqS4NkEnYFBSGxvVNzoOnGCNy1aw9NfPHv6iR63H7pC7qAC9pfduX3u2a9NfO48Clsx1Ggox9Nbw0abwjuoCdf47CDhAMxxJ4/s640/DSC_3431.jpg" width="506" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started by creating a background onto watercolor card stock using Distress Inks and water. I added additional stamped elements in the background as well as some texture with stencils and Ranger matte texture paste.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The Sand and Sea elements were cut from grungeboard- painted and then the seahorse was covered with Rock Candy Crackle paint. Once dry I added a bit of distress stain, this is a technique I learned in one of Tim's s<a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-july/" target="_blank">12 tags of 2014-july.</a> i also created the "sand" using the technique from the same 12 tags lesson. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The entire panel was place atop a Tim Holtz Canvas Panel- covered in tissue wrap and lightly sprayed with Distress stains. - and as a final touch I added the fish netting prior to attaching the main panel to the canvas.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAjw-OcgbqCM0OZY4yVbfq4_So6vXn9C9rpR7h5AQiCWzbpu0-wWRyFNrCF2fVcJxAllgV-iCrVKiPMeKwboqLxhEAy3p5xcfHMXc0lLDmpQTUp13X_L_3SVvqMCGkPM02Fl26-wW37dQ/s1600/DSC_3427.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAjw-OcgbqCM0OZY4yVbfq4_So6vXn9C9rpR7h5AQiCWzbpu0-wWRyFNrCF2fVcJxAllgV-iCrVKiPMeKwboqLxhEAy3p5xcfHMXc0lLDmpQTUp13X_L_3SVvqMCGkPM02Fl26-wW37dQ/s640/DSC_3427.jpg" width="470" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thanks so much for joining me today, I had so much fun with this challenge- be sure to check out Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge each week for some fun and inspiration!.</div>

Happy Monday y'all! I want to share with you today a really fun project that was inspired by a fantastic video by the fabulous and talented <a href="http://ninamariedesign.com/" target="_blank">Nina-Marie Trapani </a>(for <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/" target="_blank">Simon Says Stamp)</a> using <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim Holtz's</a> Crazy Dogs stamps.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_J1U4UjWLQrE5RtHorz0NMSlUP90tQ_gE8kSRhQ7lyz-vDX4xuDkXwJEqHbvJxw-yC8wYzIxo1-T1MVWhdYDU7NggYSY-fblNXiib_g1FN33siz1cyn1a-l0PnpmdaqckVKRF0UqJ4Jo/s1600/DSC_3412.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="550" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_J1U4UjWLQrE5RtHorz0NMSlUP90tQ_gE8kSRhQ7lyz-vDX4xuDkXwJEqHbvJxw-yC8wYzIxo1-T1MVWhdYDU7NggYSY-fblNXiib_g1FN33siz1cyn1a-l0PnpmdaqckVKRF0UqJ4Jo/s640/DSC_3412.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These are such cute little canvases, stamped with Archival Black ink and colored with Distress Crayons and water. See Kristina's video here!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I decided to make them into magnets by running them through the<a href="https://www.xyron.com/en-US/" target="_blank"> Xyron Creative Station</a> loaded with the magnetic cartridge.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5EB29SGsad5oF6-LZvUct87q5Lj2sPSzTUvn8ayM5BGZVd5hEHpmjTMdWw8A7wsUKek1XBzTah9NILsWWBEH1gY5R_ZVWMwfztJLtQPoKjfRpaCUzEOPlL4-TeN_VLzSWtvDmoj0zPkY/s1600/DSC_3414.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="408" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5EB29SGsad5oF6-LZvUct87q5Lj2sPSzTUvn8ayM5BGZVd5hEHpmjTMdWw8A7wsUKek1XBzTah9NILsWWBEH1gY5R_ZVWMwfztJLtQPoKjfRpaCUzEOPlL4-TeN_VLzSWtvDmoj0zPkY/s640/DSC_3414.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The Distress Crayons leave such a great texture on the canvases (covered with a layer of gesso first).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhec5Y8xtvzoK9ljvWz4osaLho2APRLp8zaNQSdyMuysmpvXHLr-FiEe55UlZ2T1NvVcgCKTllPUU_Uae8tfk4kQkEkpKRy0wMCJQBiACacJPTI5FNxff3sUP1GUI2vyccn4MkKlsIklSc/s1600/DSC_3415.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="594" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhec5Y8xtvzoK9ljvWz4osaLho2APRLp8zaNQSdyMuysmpvXHLr-FiEe55UlZ2T1NvVcgCKTllPUU_Uae8tfk4kQkEkpKRy0wMCJQBiACacJPTI5FNxff3sUP1GUI2vyccn4MkKlsIklSc/s640/DSC_3415.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
The colors are so vibrant-not washed out like with other water coloring tools.</div>

Happy Thursday everyone! Today I wanted to share with you a really fun project using <a href="http://rangerink.com/" target="_blank">Ranger </a>alcohol inks. I started off making multiple backgrounds with alcohol ink and a can of spray to create the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGDaw1f7_4s" target="_blank">Alcohol Ink Splatter backgrounds</a> (a technique I learned from <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim Holtz</a> of course). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj49gefQOh7RCf9xfpGn39yeiAUuTYXrFUZlNBKYuhXZw6v2b27TGxN9vd7-wirfySbE6eIbItKwno6khCwcf4GSh4aU9GXEEtj-TzSD9a-7ydz46cygpGpqtjIQixkddLFVVztWWGht4/s1600/DSC_3394.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="408" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj49gefQOh7RCf9xfpGn39yeiAUuTYXrFUZlNBKYuhXZw6v2b27TGxN9vd7-wirfySbE6eIbItKwno6khCwcf4GSh4aU9GXEEtj-TzSD9a-7ydz46cygpGpqtjIQixkddLFVVztWWGht4/s640/DSC_3394.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used Ranger Specialty Stamping paper and created a couple of each color combo, stamping my favorite Tim Holtz Blueprint on each. I used one to cut out the main image and place it on the other to "pop". </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghGqzx_UPmvSjlJU3qVty_nwcOaa97CcXv_QXD3VfABEERqHz6r_zqeUsOM5GwZ76pTTUu8upCY1ZOMCFYOcGHeKmXgE3yjT3mogGg8XAtmy3cfUYgdSW58QwcQNAOsIbUB9Ds0eI1gpE/s1600/DSC_3405.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="342" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghGqzx_UPmvSjlJU3qVty_nwcOaa97CcXv_QXD3VfABEERqHz6r_zqeUsOM5GwZ76pTTUu8upCY1ZOMCFYOcGHeKmXgE3yjT3mogGg8XAtmy3cfUYgdSW58QwcQNAOsIbUB9Ds0eI1gpE/s640/DSC_3405.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love the look of the abstract main image atop the abstract background. These were so fun to create. I added a few embellishments and/or sentiments to each to finish out the card design.</div>

As promised I am going back in time and completing all of the 2016 <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim</a> tags thus far. For July the technique remix is a combination of <a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-july/" target="_blank">Watercolor Resist (July 2015)</a> and <a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-april/" target="_blank">Layered Words (April 2015)</a>.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Hey y'all! I am so excited to finally be settled into my new studio in our new home in South Carolina! And finally I am organized enough to be able to spend lots of time in the studio creating. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After finishing Creative Chemistry 103 I have been super motivated to go back and create all of <a href="http://timholtz.com/" target="_blank">Tim's </a>tags from this year that I have missed. So I am starting backwards and beginning with this month's. This year's 12 tags is based on what Tim calls Technique Remix- where he takes two of his previously used techniques and combines them-what a fantastic idea- so many possibilities.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For the August 2016 tag- the technique combo is <a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2013-july/" target="_blank">Brayered Stain (July 2013)</a> and <a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2014-april/" target="_blank">Frameworks (April 2014).</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I chose to create 3 different tags this month-just for some variety. To start off I created my tags using the Brayered Stain technique.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used various colors of Distress Stain- Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover and Broken China. For the edges and accents with Distress ink I used Mermaid Lagoon, Faded Jeans, Walnut Stain and Ground Espresso.</div>
