Techniques Junkies August Blog Hop!

Happy August Junkies!
The  Technique Junkie Design Team is celebrating another month of fantastic new releases with a blog hop showcasing all of the new designs for August.  You should have arrived here from the Design Team Blog-if not be sure to start there so not to miss all the great inspiration!

The August release sentiment "There's Always Hope" pairs so perfectly with the July release Stargazers that I couldn't wait to showcase them together!

The background Stargazers stamp was stamped with VersaMark Watermark ink, covered with Ranger Black embossing powder and heat set. The flowers were then watercolored using Peerless Watercolors-I love how vibrant these watercolors are! To get the white portion around the edges of the stargazers I used a white Wink of Stella brush and blended with the watercolors, which also added a bit of shine. The background was then matted on black card stock using the Xyron Mega Runner and then onto the matching glitter card base also using the Mega Runner.

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Black Onyx ink onto Neenah Solar White card stock-cut out with a Spellbinders rectangular nesting die, and the edges inked with Picked Raspberry Distress ink. The sentiment piece was also matted onto black card stock using the Xyron Mega Runner and the entire piece "popped" onto the card with homemade Xyron dimensional adhesive.

Thanks so much for joining me today and be sure not to miss the rest of the hop for more incredible inspiration.  Your next stop on the hop is the FABULOUS Sally Lynn MacDonald-she is an amazing artist and her work is not to be missed! Honored to be on this great team with her!
The entire blog line up is below in case you go astray and need to find your way back!
As always, Embrace Imperfection!
