Xyron Father's Day Project :Picture Collage Tutorial

With Father's Day just around the corner I wanted to share a project that I made for my oldest brother-who is Papa to four wonderful grandchildren that he adores!  So to celebrate them and him and family, I made this word collage using my Xyron Creative Station and  Xyron 2.5" Create-a-Sticker.

Xyron Creative Station, Xyron 5” Permanent Adhesive Cartridge. Xyron 9” Permanent Adhesive Cartridge, Xyron 2.5” Create-a-Sticker
Other Products Used:
The Paper Studio Paper Mache letters, Canon Pixima 100 Photo Printer, Canon Photo Lustre Paper, Canvas Corp Black & Craft:Live,Laugh,Love 12x12 paper, Ranger Foil card stock, Tim Holtz Vagabond, Sizzix Tim Holtz Thinlits Love

Step by Step Tutorial

Measure sides of each letter and using a paper trimmer cut strips of patterned paper to cover (for these letters strips were 1” wide).

Using the Xyron Creative Station (loaded with 5” Permanent Adhesive) run paper strips through.

Rub the top and around edges of strips and peel off top protective film from the strips.

Adhere strips onto sides of  each letter ( P A P A ) and trim off excess.

Measure and cut strips of patterned paper for the middle of the letter openings.
Using the Xyron Creative Station (loaded with 5” Permanent Adhesive) run paper strips through.
Adhere strips onto insides of each letter opening (P A P A).

Trace each letter onto patterned paper and cut out for collage background.

Load the 9” Permanent Adhesive Cartridge into the Xyron Creative Station.

Run each traced letter through the Xyron Creative Station.

Adhere each traced letter to front of paper mache letter.

Choose and print several pictures for your collage
(I printed in several sizes 3x5, 2x2, and 1.5x1.5).
Arrange photos onto each letter-overlapping where needed for project layout and cropping as needed.

Run photos through the Xyron Creative Station.

Rub the top and around edges of strips and peel off top protective film from the photos.

Adhere photos in previously designed layout onto each letter.

Trim off excess with scissors if needed.

Run Ranger Foil card stock through die cut machine using Tim Holtz words thinlits.

Run each word through the Xyron 2.5” Create a Sticker

Adhere one word to each letter.
cherish, love,family, together
