Tim Holtz Inspired Fourth of July Cards

Some much needed time in the studio this weekend was had and I wanted to share the results.  One of the cards I will be entering into the Compendium of Curiosities III challenge 2 as well.  Just love creating with Tim's Distress Paints- so versatile and love using them for backgrounds as a resist.  Each card has a similar stamped background- but each a little different in some way.  One was also embossed after with the embossing folder to get a raised background.  Just love the way the flag turned out using the Distress Glitter. On the Liberty card- I used my Sizzix eclips and the Stamp 2 cut to cut the shadow as well as the pieces for a "popped" look of Lady Liberty.  These cards were so much fun to make!  On the third card, I stamped the blueprint star stamp and used pewter Perfect Pearls to give it a sparkle and add dimension to the background.

  2. Pamela...your 4th of July cards are awesome! I love all of them! But, of course, the one that really caught my attention because of our CC3C glitter challenge is the one with the American flag. Beautifully done! The glitter really is a nice touch! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cards with us at CC3C. <3 Candy

  3. Your cards are FAB! I know it's not the glittery one (forgive me CC3C), but the first one is my favourite. At first glance, I thought it was a vintage poster. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. :)
